TOMIMATSU RESIDENCE From the outset, it was clear this 1940's house featured the smallest kitchen imaginable, compounding the recurring challenge of adding space to a distinctive home so that the new and old blend seamlessly. Generous workspace, plenty of cabinetry and a connection to a new family room were the program requirements. Lighting helps the new kitchen glow and the narrow vaulted ceiling allows the galley kitchen to breathe and focuses the eye on the children playing in the backyard through the bay window.
